Baby Gang goes back to prison

TO Baby Gang (the 23 year old Zechariah Mouhib) the house arrest with electronic bracelet with which he had to serve the first degree sentence of 4 years and 10 months for a robbery and 5 years and 2 months for a shooting in the summer of 2022 were revoked. The new provision, determined by the Third Court of Appeal of Milan, was imposed because the rapper would have posted photos on social media (managed by his entourage) to promote his new album which had just been released (Read here). The defense claims that all posts were authorized.

According to the Court, he would have “in particular – we read in the document – communicated with an indeterminate number of subjects, publishing photographs on Instagram, where he is portrayed holding a gun pointing towards the camera, showing off the electronic bracelet”. According to the judges, this violation is of a “serious nature” and is indicative of “the concrete and current danger of recurrence of crimes similar to those for which” the trapper is accused.

“The superficiality of this motivation is astonishing – commented the lawyer Niccolò Vecchioni – given that the singer's social account is managed by his manager and the published material was created in work sessions that had been authorized by the same Court of appeal. A measure symptomatic of judicial schizophrenia against which we will appeal to the Court of Review”. The second degree trial for the shooting is set for June 4.
