Audioslave, "Out of exile" is released on liquid vinyl

Universal Music announces the first liquid vinyl edition of the band’s second album Audioslave, “Out of Exile” (read the review here). The album will be available for pre-order from June 12th Click here.

The group combines the voice and writing of Chris Cornell to the sound of Tom Morello, Tim Commerford And Brad Wilk of the Rage Against The Machine giving life to one of the most representative rock formations of the 2000s. For this new reissue, Levi Seitz by Black Belt Mastering has remastered the original “Out Of Exile” which will be available in two versions: a standard edition in 180g black vinyl and a limited edition print, inspired by the album cover, in black liquid vinyl.

Originally released May 23, 2005 and co-produced with Rick Rubin, “Out Of Exile” includes the single “Doesn’t Remind Me” which received a nomination for the Grammy Awards as “Best Hard Rock Performance”.

At the time, Chris Cornell described “Out Of Exile” as his most personal work. For the first time, writing was born from a direct and conscious experience, far from the darker atmospheres of the past. Emerging from the artist’s sobriety, personal growth and new familial stability after 2002, the songs created from a place of clarity, joy and the ability to feel loved, contrasted with previous material rooted in a “dark, lonely and isolated world”. Cornell described himself during this period as “constantly inspired.”

The Audioslave they premiered some songs from the album during a historic free concert in Cuba, in front of over 70,000 spectators, becoming the first American rock group to perform outdoors in the country. The event was later released on DVD ‘Live in Cuba’ (read the review here).
