As I Lay Dying: European tour with two dates in Italy cancelled
The Italian organizer announced that the American metalcore band As I Lay Dying canceled the European tour.
Therefore the two dates in our country scheduled for Saturday November 30, 2024 toAlcatraz Of Milan and Sunday December 1, 2024 toOrion of Rome are cancelled.
Holders will be able to request a refund for tickets purchased at https://shop.vivaticket.com/ita/ from tomorrow 26 October until 15 December 2024 inclusive.
The cancellation of the concerts came, as written by Metalitalia, after the abandonment of the bassist Ryan Neff followed first by the guitarist Ken Susi and then by the drummer Nick Pierce who left the band during the tour.
According to what the specialized newspaper reports Ken Susi stated:
My time with As I Lay Dying came to an end today. I leave with so much gratitude to everyone who has followed and supported me from my days with Unearth to this stage of my career. I joined the group with full awareness of its dramatic past, but with the desire to play great music with great friends. Unfortunately, my personal morals have recently been tested to the breaking point, and now this is the saddest end to what could have been the second greatest opportunity for this band.
Ryan Neff is receiving a lot of criticism for leaving first, and now I regret not sharing this decision sooner and confidently standing alongside my friend: he is an impeccable musician and an even better person. I will miss you all on this stage and can’t wait to see you on the next one. Anyone looking for a guitarist? My CV is ready.
The other one escaped Nick Pierce added:
From now on, I will no longer play drums for As I Lay Dying. This is far from the ending I expected, and I feel I must distance myself from the band in an effort to preserve my personal health and integrity.
I want to express my deepest gratitude to all those who have followed and supported me throughout this journey. My goal has always been and always will be to create unforgettable memories with my friends and write music that truly resonates with our fans. I’m proud of what I accomplished on tour, as well as writing and recording the drum parts for the new album.
Looking to the future, I am excited to continue my career as a drummer and pursue what I love most, which is making music. My calendar for tours and sessions is now open to new opportunities.
Thus the band reduced to the singer Tim Lambesis and the guitarist Phil Sgrosso was forced to cancel the dates still on the calendar.
On the scheduled dates the lights of the two clubs will not be turned on because the supporters’ live shows have also been cancelled Decapitated, Caliban And Left To Suffer
