Are Rammstein breaking up?
At the end of the long message that Rammstein published, in fact, it says “the journey continues”, but the writing remains cryptic and raises many question marks. In the text, which appeared on social media, there are many references to the trial related to the accusations made in the past years against singer Till Lindemann, at the moment everything seems to be archived, and it is not clear from the press release whether what the band is referring to is a definitive or temporary stop. A few days ago, on the occasion of the concert in Gelsenkirchen, guitarist Paul Landers, as he recalled Metal Hammerchatting with some fans, had declared that it was the band’s intention (also protagonist of a concert in Italy at the RCF Arena last July)
take at least two years off. But from the post there seem to be deeper dynamics and problems. Below is the text translated from German:
We would like to thank all our fans, friends and concert-goers. Thank you so much for the support, warmth and encouragement you have given us on this 2024 tour. We felt it everywhere and felt carried away by a wave of emotions. It was an honor to play for you, to be part of these happy moments of shared joy. Thanks to you, we are a band that has rediscovered its joy in making music and being on stage. Each concert has been an act of healing for us. We thank you for this.
Since last summer we have been actively dealing with the accusations made against the band. We take these accusations seriously, even if a large part of them are unfounded and exaggerated. It is an internal process that will accompany us for a long time. Each of us does it in his own way and deals with it differently. We would like to take this opportunity to especially thank our families and loved ones for their support and unconditional love, as they too have been hit hard by the accusations and the way the media has covered them.
We would like to thank our crew, our management, all our employees and everyone who has supported us and remained loyal along the way. This huge stadium tour, with this great show and this amazing stage, has come to an end after 135 concerts in 5 years with 6 million fans. 5 years with 6 million fans have come to an end. It is not Rammstein. It is not us. It is not you. The journey continues.
