Angelina Mango: “When I write I want my legs to shake”

Angelina Mango will perform at the Notte della Taranta

Angelina Mango will perform as a guest at the Notte della Taranta 2024, scheduled for August 24 in Melpignano, Puglia. The winner of the last Sanremo Festival announced her participation in the popular music festival that aims to enhance traditional Salento music through its revival and contamination with other musical languages, letting it be known that she will join the cast of the festival, whose conductor this year will be Shablo, a producer who has already worked alongside Club Dogo, Guè, Irama and others. Angelina Mango wrote: “Hello everyone, I’m Angelina Mango and I wanted to tell you that on August 24th I will be a guest at the Notte della Taranta in Melpignano in Puglia. I can’t wait, I’m very excited, it’s a great thing, a great honor for me to participate, so don’t miss it!

On the stage of Melpignano, Angelina will perform traditional Salento songs arranged in a contemporary key by Shablo and will give an unreleased version of one of her most famous songs that will embrace the ancestral rhythm of the tambourine. The Concertone di Melpignano will be broadcast live in prime time on RAI 3 and Rai Radio 2.
