An evening to remember Luca Bergia
An evening will take place on 17 December at CAP10100 in Turin to celebrate Luca Bergia, the historic drummer of Marlene Kuntz, who passed away in March 2023. The band will participate in the evening: Gianni Maroccolo, Roberto Gaia, Bernardo Grillo and Leo Colonnelli, Luca Vicio Vicini, Giorgio Prette, L’Aura, NicoNote, as well as Stefano Guzzetti, with whom Bergia recorded “Nuovi colori”, an album which will be released on December 18, 2025 for Al-Kemi Records / Ala Bianca
“”Nuovi colori” is the album that Luca and I created together, in friendship and mutual admiration. Luca was and will always be a splendid, generous, altruistic person with a heart of gold. I believe that the music on this album fully reflects him and, needless to say, all the notes of these tracks are for him. We met several times, in Cagliari and also in Cuneo, in the Marlene Kuntz rehearsal room, to mix the album. I was a guest at his house and I was able to experience the beauty of his soul firsthand. The ‘new colors’ are those with which he and I wanted to paint our music, of our new and possible worlds and I truly believe that, at least for this reason, also thanks to the guests present in the songs, we succeeded”, says the neoclassical pianist and composer Guzzetti. The album features Priestess, L’Aura, Beatrice Antolini and Samuel, among others
Marlene Kuntz will then return to tour in March: after the orchestral tour last summer and the one dedicated to “Catartica”, their debut album, starting next March the Piedmontese band will bring their second work “Il vile” to concert, which will turn 30 in 2026: “The primary intention is to play the songs from that album (and not only), to embody its sounds again, to bring those atmospheres back to today. The celebrations ephemeral anniversaries remain only the opportunity to call you back to the stage”, explains the band. qRemain the dates
