Alda: a “Ciao” that explores the theme of abandonment

The video of “Ciao”, the focus track from Alda's debut album “Nelmargino”photographs in a crystal clear way what the singer-songwriter and rapper wants to tell, also present in the cast of Primo Maggio. The artist of Albanian origin, but raised in Pesaro, explores the theme of abandonment, touching the hearts of anyone who has experienced the pain of separation and the search for a place to call home. And it also does so through strong images such as shaving one's hair. The video clip, directed by Jacopo Farina, transports those who watch it into an almost disturbing visual experience: someone cuts Alda's hair, who is more vulnerable than ever, However, he manages to convey the communicative urgency present in the lyrics and add a profound sense of authenticity to the narrative.

An almost painful interpretation, that of the artist, who remains impassive, while the music is pounding. Alda, song after song, piece after piece, is proving more and more to be an interesting voice in the contemporary musical panorama. Her songs become an emotional bridge that allows her to put together the pieces of her past and connect them to her present. “For the cover of this first album (which he will present on tour) I chose the element of the bridge, because the bridge is the opposite of the wall. The bridge is a border that unites, rather than divides. It is a place of flow, a suspended place that is crossed – says the artist – living on the margin certainly means finding yourself in an uncomfortable position, but at the same time it is a position that allows you to observe things from various points of view. Being on the margin means having the possibility of seeing what happens outside, and at the same time what happens inside”.

From the first single “stai zitta”, the production was entirely entrusted to Francesco Fantini who created a record with a contemporary sound through a non-linear path that touches on very different genres, creating rarefied atmospheres.
