After 15 years, Jennifer Lopez’s “On the floor” hits the charts

Fifteen years after its release, in 2011, the hit of Jennifer Lopez And Pitbull “On the Floor”included on the album “Love?” (read the review here), has come back to life thanks to the television series by Prime Video “Off Campus”. The series is based on the Canadian writer’s popular romance novel series of the same name Elle Kennedy set in the world of college hockey.

“On the Floor” appears in the second episode, in a scene set at a Halloween party, where the characters Allie Hayes and Dean Di Laurentis dance together. To pay homage J-LoAllie arrives at the party wearing a replica of Lopez’s green dress (the one that inspired the Google image search), and a guest starts playing “On the Floor” to create the atmosphere in a tense moment between the two protagonists. Thanks to this scene – the power of successful television series – the song returned to the top of the American charts.
