Adriano Celentano and the DJs’ passion for his hits
That of “Emotion has no voice”, just released, is only the latest case. More and more often Italian – and international – DJs take up songs by Adriano Celentano and revisit them in their own way. In the case of “L’Emotion Non Ha Voce”, an internationally renowned Italian DJ, Samuele Sartini, reworked Molleggiato’s hit, with his reworks and mash-ups has set dancefloors all over the world on fire, accumulated millions of plays and has embellished the soundtracks of cinema masters of the caliber of Clint Eastwood. Before him, another Italian star of the console, Benny Benassi, had thought of paying homage to the Milanese artist. It was 2017 when the 58-year-old DJ, considered one of the most popular in the world, remixed that “Prisencolinensinaiciusol” which Mario Fargetta, Alex Party and even Scatman John had previously dealt with. Benassi then signed the remix of another Molleggiato song, “I want to know”, in 2019.
Very clear rhythmic patterns, repetitive grooves, few harmonic variations. The reason why Celentano’s hits lend themselves to operations like those signed by Sartini and Benassi is simple: their characteristics are ideal for mixing. Last year it was the turn of “Love no“, remixed by sound engineer Pinaxa, real name Pino Pischetola, after going viral on TikTok.
“Emotion has no voice (I don’t know how to talk about love) – Samuele Sartini Remix” it is the perfect union between original melodic line, masterfully interpreted by Celentanoand the atmospheres full of energy which are Sartini’s distinctive trademark. First published in 1999 included in the album I don’t know how to talk about love and written by Gianni Bella And Mogul“Emotion has no voice” remained in the charts for 101 consecutive weeks, selling over 2 million copies and is still today one of the love songs most loved by Italians. The one signed by Samuele Sartini is the first official remix. The DJ calls it “ua precious gift for all fans of Adriano Celentano”. A gift that also had the blessing of its authors, Gianni Bella and Mogol. Battisti’s historic right-hand man commented: “Well done Samuele, you have created a beautiful melody. This is not a remix, but Adriano’s new single.” “I consider this the highest point of my career. Something that makes me, and will always make me, deeply honored”, the reply of the DJ, 45 years old.

A physical version of the remix was also released 45 rpmavailable on Universal’s official storewhere it is also possible to purchase the eleven albums including “Ilboyo della via Gluck”, “Azzurro”, “Le robe che dice Adriano”, “I mali del mondo”, “Yuppi Du” and “Svaluation” in the Greenyl edition – eco-sustainable vinyls with low environmental impact – published last year.
