Adam Lambert between activism and new music in 2026
Adam Lambert took stock of his career, moving between his new solo direction, his political commitment in defense of the LGBTQ+ community and the cumbersome but precious legacy of the Queen. Ten years after joining the band as frontman, the Californian artist today appears more aware of his own voice, both musical and civil.
At a charity event to defend trans rights, Lambert said that “these are the types of events and causes that I always try to invest my energy in”, happy that the message of “inclusivity” aligns with Queen’s artistic identity. “It’s times like these that being an artist is amazingbecause we can use our visibility to influence the common good and create a large ripple effect.”
Precisely in relation to the band led today by Brian May, Lambert reveals that “at the moment there is nothing planned with Queen”, because the group is “relaxing” and has taken a break from writing. However, he shared his plans for new solo materialstating that he has been working on it “for the last year and a half.”
There’s definitely new music on the horizon. I can’t reveal too many details yet, but it’s something completely new, so I’m looking forward to unveiling it soon, in 2026.
