According to Tom DeLonge, New Jersey drones are UFOs

The guitarist of Blink-182 and UFO theorist, Tom DeLongeweighed in on the spate of sightings of alleged “drones” on the East Coast, suggesting they are reminiscent of UFOs spotted in the 1960s.

On Instagram, DeLonge wrote a description of the aircraft. “The drones we’re talking about can hover for six hours and then disappear once spotted,” he said. “That’s why it’s been difficult to get information from any U.S. agency. Some of them can even move into the ocean and then come back up into the air. That’s called ‘transmedia travel.’ A very difficult thing to do.”

Continuing, DeLonge compared the episode to the UFO sightings described in a 1965 document from Francis E. Warren Air Force Base. “It appears to be a repeat of what happened in the 1960s,” he wrote.

According to DeLonge – who co-founded the company To the Stars in 2017 to promote UFO theories – UFOs learn and develop an “imitation” model of other craft. “This has happened even more recently, in situations like the Skinwalker Ranch, years ago, which was studied by the US government under the BAAS (Bigelow Aerospace Advanced Studies) and the AATIP (Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program) ) (both now closed), he wrote. “And again, decades ago, in the 1960s. That’s all to consider.”

DeLonge then wrote: “Although we don’t have all the facts yet, we know that UFOs play with ‘mimicry’ and this has been known for some time. Why? So that we would notice them without throwing a fit?” DeLonge doesn’t claim to have the answers to these questions, but he concluded with a message to any UFO-watching viewers: “Well, we’re noticing them anyway.”

DeLonge’s enthusiasm for UFOs has made headlines many times in the past, perhaps most notably in 2020, when the Pentagon released videos that had previously been shared by To the Stars (the guitarist’s company). “We plan to pursue the technology, find more answers and tell the stories,” he said in a statement at the time.
