This is probably what I put inside music: not the difficulty itself, but the possibility that I give myself to welcome that thing, for better or for worse.

Does cinema influence your creative vein?

Laterally, like all those things that are there, that you observe and that in the meantime intact within you. There is no study behind, even if in what I do there is always a lot of research: I am aware of the things I like and I try to keep them in the memory and then use them at the right time. Cinema is something that I only use for the pleasure of enjoying it. But then I find myself making cinema with my songs: scenes, words and moments that become more beautiful because they are told by music. And at that moment you are looking at it, you’re not just listening to it. I like that concept there: the possibility that music has to be seen, as well as listened to.

At the center of “Risorgimento” is the theme of liberation. What does it mean for you?

Liberation – which is not freedom – is something that involves a movement. For me, living always has to do with moving, even trivially looking out the window is already something that brings your body to see more and not just your room. It is the possibility that a person can be changed something that is written. I really like the word “liberation” than “freedom”. I feel it so present also in the record I wrote, because it is precisely the motion to place, from one condition to another, that I lived fully and that I told through the songs. We ourselves give us freedom, the possibility of being better.

Another central theme is love. What is love for a thousand?

Love for me is a choice, it is a decision. There is the phase of falling in love, which is wonderful, but love is when you choose to open the arms and welcome the life of the other person. That does not mean acclaim The problems of the other person, but also welcome those, joys and pains, because when you hug you are aware that you will not only do your walk during life, but you will have to do with the walk of the other person and it is not something that happens to you, but something you choose to do. Falling in love happens, love chooses it. Choose to take the train ticket with another person, to use a metaphor. Since I understood this thing, I also re -evaluated the use of the term “partner/partner”, which before seemed to me something too adult, too old. Is there a curiosity about the album that you have not yet told and you want to share?

I discovered some things on the album. When I write a song, I only think about the reason that pushes me to write it. I don’t think about the fact that it could have a different meaning for those who listen to it. There are certainly many moments that for many people who have listened to it have a meaning, while it is different for me. For example, “heavy artillery” is apparently a love song, because I speak of love. In reality that song has nothing to do with the relationship with the relationship of a relationship of relational love. He talks about the facts of the Diaz school and I wrote it because the night before I was talking to people about what happened and at that moment, in that song, I used the word “love” on different planes. The facts of Diaz are facts that are told as righteous in the name of love, but there is never a right motivation to endorse violence.

What do you expect from the next tour?

To have fun to die. Before, in front of the microphone, if there was something new to face I always ashamed so much. I was the first to put stakes on my voice. Now I have exceeded those limits. In this album I did just like fuck It seems to me, in the sense that I have not been ashamed to experiment in front of the microphone. I have much more embarrassment to do something alone or in front of a person than in front of a lot of people.
