A docufilm on Ungaretti with the soundtrack by Antonio Fresa

The world of poetry meets authorial music. Antonio Fresa he is the author of the original soundtrack of “Life of a man – Giuseppe Ungaretti“, the docufilm produced by Anele, Rai Documentari and Luce Cinecittà. Already available on RaiPlay, the film will arrive on Rai 3 on February 27th.

The project sees the extraordinary participation of the trumpeter Fabrizio Bossowho Fresa wanted at his side to give “poetic voice” to the compositions. The film, directed by Massimo Popolizio and Mario Vitale from an idea by Davide Rondoni, is an intimate journey into the life of the twentieth century Maestro, where music echoes the poetic word.

The album of original songs will instead be distributed on all digital platforms from February 20th (the link for pre-save is already active).

Fresa says:

Writing the music for “Life of a Man” means entering into dialogue with the poetic universe of Giuseppe Ungaretti, where every word – and therefore every sound – carries with it an emotional weight and an essential tension. I looked for a musical writing that breathed with its poetry, intimate and at times suspended, capable of accompanying the story without overpowering it. The soundtrack was born as a space of resonance between memory and the present, providing an emotional experience that amplifies the strength of the narrative. On this journey I wanted Fabrizio Bosso, a trumpet player with a poetic voice, capable of transforming music into a lively, discreet but deeply expressive presence alongside me.
