Arde Bogotá launches its new album on cassette, only available at Repsol
The new album of Bogotá burns, “Manufactures of the Lonely People’s Club”also arrives on cassette. This limited edition can only be purchased at two service stations in Madrid and Cartagena and on the website of Repsol.
The sale of cassettes returns to service stations Repsol and will bring to the present that important memory for music lovers of the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. We hit the road again to make an obligatory stop and search among the new releases, the cassette that will become an inseparable travel companion.
The first memory that comes to mind from that great era is that rotating metal display where you could find everything and which became the “music recommendation platform” of several generations. There the genres mixed, merged with each other and conversed without any type of filters within tapes with many kilometers ahead. Every time a car stopped at a service station, the routine of going for a new cassette was a real ritual that had to be fulfilled.
The cassette was a resistant format, easy to carry on those long family routes. Vinyl had earned the title of the perfect object for the home, and the cassette the faithful companion that would go with you until the end of the world. Great figures in the history of Spanish music saw in this format a clear path for growth and from the first moment they bet heavily on it. Some of them managed to achieve spectacular projection through the different points of sale distributed throughout the country and figures that today would be a real challenge.
During the first half of 2026, the consumption of physical formats in the music industry has increased again. In the US, for example, the sale of CDs has increased by 16% and that of vinyl by 2.4%. And the new generations seek to get hold of these pieces to feel that they have a treasure that will stay with them for a lifetime. It seems that we turn to streaming platforms for the immediacy of the first listen, the excitement of discovering what is new, but then we prioritize being able to have those works in our hands, like the old-fashioned way.
This year, something as much ours as the “gas station music comes back to life. Repsol reinvents the concept, adapting it to current musical consumption, and giving visibility to the new figures that move the industry today. The project has started with the launch of the new album by Bogotá burns, “Manufactures of the Lonely People’s Club”which is now available for exclusive sale at repsol.es, at the Alberto Aguilera 9 service station, in Madrid, from October 2 and at Calle Angel Bruna-Ronda Norte, in Cartagena from October 9.
So start this adventure with Bogotá burns It has undoubtedly become the ideal match. The band bets on the promotion of “Manufactures of the Lonely People’s Club”their most ambitious album to date, due to the revaluation of traditional forms of consumption such as playing in small venues, or returning to the sale of physical tickets.
