Spanish Love Songs announce their first Spanish tour

The Californian band will finally perform in venues in our country on February 24 at the Copérnico room in Madrid and February 25 at the Bóveda room in Barcelonatwo concerts that will feature Terrible Idea Co. and The Coldest July as invited groups respectively.

The tour will serve to present “Future Nausea”the fifth album from Spanish Love Songs, which will be released on November 6 through Pure Noise Records. Produced by Chris Wallawho was the guitarist for Death Cab For Cutie years ago, the album shows a more rock, direct and accessible side of the group led by Dylan Slocum. Q

The first preview, “Good American”, perfectly summarizes the spirit of this new stage. In his lyrics, Slocum recovers memories from two decades ago, when he worked delivering pizzas at a veterans hospital, to reflect on the abandonment suffered by those left on the sidelines after having served their country. “It’s an angry song. Maybe the most angry song I’ve ever written,” explains the vocalist, who defines Future Nausea as an album conceived to transform that anger into energy: “We want people to dance and scream as if they were at a crowded concert in a basement.”
