yes IM returns to activity with “Montana”

“Montana” is the first chapter of the new stage of yes IMwho had not published material for five years.

“Montana” not only represents the return of yes IM to the activity, but also represents the gateway to “Blessed Be”which will be his next full-length. A work developed for more than five years that will see the light through 22 songs. An album built without haste, in parallel to the life of Mario Gutierrez Brun, in which each theme reflects a stage, an emotion or a different way of understanding the passage of time and everything experienced during these years: painful losses, profound changes, new beginnings and, among them, the arrival of parenthood.

With an intimate, luminous and organic production as he already accustomed us to with his latest movements, “Montana” talks about accepting that not all people feel, love or live in the same way. It’s a song about stopping looking for blame, understanding that some stories just end, and discovering that letting go can also be a way of loving.

The Hannah Montana reference functions as a symbol of the expectations, labels, and versions we project onto others. In the end, the message is much simpler: “I did it because I wanted to, you don’t owe me anything.”

“Blessed Be” It is conceived as a work that will be discovered song by song over many months. Each release will have its own visual universe—unpublished and personal analog photography, design, audiovisual pieces and narrative—which, together with the rest, will end up building a single story. Music and image advance hand in hand to give shape to a project designed to be discovered little by little, where each chapter contributes a new piece to the whole.
