The Messthetics & James Brandon Lewis announce exclusive date in Barcelona
If you like rock or jazz that flows, takes risks, experiments and goes back and forth with improvisation, you should see what The Messthetics and jazz musician James Brandon Lewis are capable of. If you have already seen them passing through our country, we don’t need to say much more.
And in the musical adventure of this quartet everything merges to take us to a state in which the music gets inside you from minute one. It is not surprising that the four instrumentalists achieve it since they are highly renowned musicians. In fact, the rhythmic basis of The Messthetics is made up of Joe Lally (bass) and Brendan Canty (drums)both members of Fugaziwithout a doubt one of the most important and influential groups in post-hardcore and the American independent scene in general. Next to them, the guitar Anthony Pirog and Lewis’s sax.
The concert is part of the presentation tour of “Deface The Currency” (Impulse!, 26), published last February. We will be able to see them in concert on Friday, November 6 at Marula Café (Barcelona).
