We premiere the second preview of “Love is a Muscle” by Rüdiger
The Basque musician Rüdiger presents us with the single “Breve e indoloro”, whose video clip has been produced by Bira Productions and directed by Maitane Campos.
After the publication of the first preview, “Gigantic Storm”, Rüdiger now presents us with “Brief and painless”, the second appetizer of “Love is a Muscle”their third album, which will be released on September 18. The song was born during the writing sessions of “The Dancing King” as an extensive electronic piece built from a Roland SH, but the appearance of a vocal melody ended up transforming it into a luminous pop song.
The song preserves part of that electronic origin, combining synthesizers and guitars with one of the most particular rhythmic bets of the new album: the recording of two drummers in stereo, inspired by artists such as Circuit des Yeux, Yo La Tengo or El Petit de Cal Eril. On that basis, Rüdiger It addresses the passage of time and the entry into quarantine with humor and irony, moving away from any drama to talk about accepting the different stages of life.
The title itself and the chorus in Spanish arose from a conversation with Anariwho animated Felix Buff, the name behind Rüdigerto sing in Spanish. The artist also signs the lyrics of “Bi Egun”, the first song of the project in Basque and another of the songs included in “Love is a Muscle”.
“Brief and painless” comes accompanied by a video clip produced by Bira Productions and directed by Maitane Camposin which Rüdiger He presents his band under a psychedelic aesthetic while staging this change of skin and his entry into a new stage of life. The song thus anticipates some of the ideas that run through the next album: love, memory, vulnerability, the passage of time and the need to take care of oneself to continue growing.
