Víctor Aparicio Abundancia, who was known artistically as Víctor Coyote, was sixty-seven years old and continued to be a prolific artist who combined music, comics, painting and even filming music videos and short films.
Galician by birth and one of the most active characters in the city of Madrid since the late seventies, Coyote founded what, starting from psychobilly beginnings, ended up becoming one of the key groups for the introduction of Latin rhythms in independent music and pop rock in our country. With the arrival of the nineties, the artist decided to continue alone and combine the various artistic disciplines that interested him. This same 2026 he had launched the compilation with El Volcán Música “Own”which included the unreleased song “This is how they treat me now.”
Behind him are various albums both with Los Coyotes and in his later solo career, as well as comics, paintings and video clips both for his career and for other artists. Among them we can mention “Woman and feeling” (85), “The Coyotes of Victor Abundancia” (89), “The good, inside” (95), “Two and a quarter light years” (11), “The regional ones” (20), “Crossing bitches and other stories from the eighties” (25), the documentary series “Bucky’s Good Rebuttal” (dedicated to the North American Richard Buckminster Fuller) or the tour he starred in with the students of the Liverpool School of Performing Arts (LIPA) – the music school founded by Paul McCartney and Mark Featherstone-Witty in 1996 – in 2012 through AIE.
