‘Moulin Rouge’, the soundtrack reissued on vinyl is released
Twenty-five years after its release, ‘Moulin Rouge’, film by the Australian director Baz Luhrmann is one of the most representative film musicals of the 21st century. The soundtrack to the 2001 film, beloved by several generations of music fans, is re-released on vinyl in an expanded version for its 25th anniversary.
The album will be released on July 10th, the double LP will be printed on Velvet Rouge colored vinyl and will contain eight extra tracks taken from the second volume. The reissue includes an eight-page booklet, embossed cover, and gatefold cover, and has been remastered by Levi Seitz at Black Belt Mastering.
The soundtrack of “Moulin Rouge” (read the review here) is embellished with the cover of “Lady Marmalade”winner of a Grammy Awards and played by Christina Aguilera, Lil’ Kim, Mya And Pinkoriginally recorded by Labelle. The soundtrack also includes cast recordings such as Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor who perform hits like “Like a Virgin” Of Madonna, “Your Song” Of Elton John And “Smells like Teen Spirit” of the Nirvana.

Set in the Montmartre neighborhood of Paris at the dawn of the 20th century,

‘Moulin Rouge’
received eight Oscar nominations, including best film, and won two: for best production design and best costumes.
