Metallica, Rob Trujillo and Kirk Hammett play Rammstein
THE Metallica they continue to celebrate the local heavy scene during their tour stops, turning each concert into an intimate and special event for fans. The duo composed of the bassist Rob Trujillo and the guitarist Kirk Hammett has now consolidated a much-loved tradition during live shows: the usual “doodle” moment, an interlude in which the two musicians remain alone on stage to improvise a cover dedicated to an artist from the state who is hosting them at that moment.
During the recent dates on German soil, the duo’s choices did not disappoint the expectations of local metalheads. TO Frankfurton May 24, the audience was overwhelmed by the energy of a milestone of Teutonic speed metal, with an unexpected reinterpretation of “Fast As A Shark” by Accept.
TO Berlin, on May 30th, for the explosive show in the capital, the tribute went to the hosts par excellence. Trujillo and Hammett surprised the fans present with a powerful jam “Sleep“iconic song by Rammstein. These tributes prove to be not only a moment of leisure and pure entertainment, but also a beautiful sign of respect by the Four Horsemen towards the history and musical culture of the nations they pass through.
