Thom Yorke performed a new song, “Space walk” live

After being introduced on stage by Harry Styles, who confessed during his speech that he “lost his virginity to Radiohead”, Thom Yorke accepted the “Academy Fellowship” award at the 71st Ivor Novello Awards before surprise the audience.

During last night’s ceremony – May 21st – for the awards that celebrate musical writing, the cultural impact and the lasting importance of songs and compositions, the frontman of the “OK Computer” band decided to present a new song live. On stage at the British Academy of Composers and Songwriters in London, Yorke played a new solo piece on the piano, entitled “Space walk”, as well as a stripped-back acoustic version of “Jigsaw falling into place”, taken from Radiohead’s “In rainbows” album.
