“On behalf of them”, the fourth edition will be held on May 30th

Born in 2023 a few weeks after the capture of the super fugitive Messina Denaro – who was born in that very territory and for decades dominated its political, economic and social fabric – the first edition of the event was organized in February 2023 in an impromptu manner, on the emotional wave of the success reported by the police. During the first three editions it gathered an audience of over 28,000 people and was followed by over one million two hundred thousand viewers between live video and radio broadcasts on Ansa and Rai Radio 2; and brought on stage artists such as Levante, La Representative di Lista, Malika Ayane, Raiz, Daniele Silvestri, Paolo Fresu, Arisa, Simona Molinari, Cristiano Godano of Marlene Kuntz, Gianluca Petrella, Anna Castiglia, Davide Shorty, Modena City Ramblers, Mauro Ermanno Giovanardi of La Crus, Andrea Satta of Têtes de Bois, Angelo Sicurella, Bonnot, Giuseppe Anastasi, Silvia Mezzanotte, Mario Lavezzi, Dajana Roncione, Donatella Finocchiaro, Luigi Lo Cascio, Paolo Briguglia, Fabrizio Ferracane and many others.

The A Nome Loro association is made up of the pop-jazz singer-songwriter Simona Molinari (in the photo in the article), the composer and jazz pianist Sade Mangiaracina, Dario Mangiaracina, musician and co-founder of La Representative di Lista, Franco D’Aniello, musician and co-founder of the Modena City Ramblers, the singer-songwriter and author Giuseppe Anastasi, the music manager of Pannonica Stefania Conte and the cultural operator Turi Benintende.

The fourth edition of “In their name” is scheduled for May 30th in the Castelvetrano Square System, from 2.00 pm, in the province of Trapani, a few steps from the homes of the family members of the now deceased boss.

Taking part will be: Nada, The Zen Circus, Mauro Ermanno Giovanardi, Simona Molinari, Avion Travel, Santamarea, Dario Mangiaracina of La representative di list, Mario Venuti & Tony Canto, Rancore, Anastasio, Galeffi, Savana Funk, Giuseppe Anastasi, Donatella Rettore, Giulia Mei, Bungaro/Casarano/Monteduro, Amudi Safa, Leila Shirvani, Canta up to Dieci, Ernesto Marciante, Shakalab, Chris Obehi, Jerusa Barros, Cico Messina, Claudio Covato, Giuseppe Patti, Gli Asteroidi and the Castelvetrano 1 Boy-scout Choir, plus artists from cinema, theater and television such as Donatella Finocchiaro, Fabio Celenza, Roberto Lipari, Simona Malato and Antonio Panzica.

Furthermore, on May 29th, starting in the morning, the artists’ soundcheck will be open to the public and at 9.30 pm, in the square, the DJSet by Martina Martorano and Dario Mangiaracina will be held.
