MGK vs Yungblud: “You canceled the tour because you weren’t selling”
There was a time when, like the rock promises that they were, Machine Gun Kelly and Yungblud would release covers of Oasis classics together and duet with each other. Today the two seem bitter rivals. After having included some verses addressed to Yungblud in his latest single “Fix ur face” (“Mickey Mouse kids turned rockstars / Leaving private schools, tryna be outlaws”), now MGK returns to attack his colleague. Without making any discounts. Basically calling him a liar.
Yesterday Yungblud published on Instagram a video excerpt of an interview given to promote his Bludfest festival. In the interview the British rocker talks aboutinaccessibility of live musicclaiming that more and more artists are being forced to cancel their tours by not selling tickets due to the high ticket prices. Words that Machine Gun Kelly apparently didn’t like. In a comment published under the video, which was subsequently deleted (but several screenshots circulating on social media confirm his presence), the singer-songwriter wrote to his colleague:
You canceled a tour because you couldn’t sell tickets, you blamed mental health issues. Pinocchio. And tickets for your current tour are still the same price as all other artists’ tickets. Shut the fuck up, you spoiled moralizing asshole.
Yungblud’s team provided a statement to TMZ: «Dom did not comment directly because he is very busy focusing on his sold-out North American tour and completing his next album. He really doesn’t have time to deal with these things, but we wish MGK all the best.”
