Bullet for my Valentine, new album set for January 2027
During a new interview granted to “Drum Dog” during The Europe Drum Show, the drummer of Bullet for My ValentineJason Bowld, spoke about the state of work on the band’s next album, revealing some details both about the recordings and about the strategy planned for the album’s release.
The musician explained that he had recently completed all the recordings of the drum parts, adding that the new work should be completed by June. According to current plans, the album’s release would be set for January 2027but the group wants to take the time necessary to take care of every aspect of the promotion and best prepare the return to the scene.
Bowld has in fact underlined how the band is working on a promotional campaign structured down to the smallest detail, with the idea of releasing around five singles before the official release of the album, probably on a monthly basis. The goal is to gradually fuel fans’ anticipation and create the right enthusiasm around the new material. The drummer also highlighted how, once the promotional cycle has started, the group will once again enter a long phase of concerts and tours, which could last for a period of between 14 and 18 months. Precisely for this reason, he explained, it is essential to plan every detail with great attention.
It is not the first time that information has emerged on the new recording chapter of the Welsh band. Already last December, in fact, the frontman Matt Tuck he had anticipated something about the sound of the album. On that occasion, the singer and guitarist described the new album as a sort of fusion between the aggression and modernity of the self-titled “Bullet for My Valentine” from 2021, the melodies of “Fever” from 2010 and the heavier and more iconic atmospheres of “The Poison”, the band’s historic debut released in 2005.
The statements therefore seem to indicate a return to sounds particularly dear to historical fans of the group, without however giving up the more modern elements developed by the band in recent years.
