There were two million people at Shakira’s concert in Rio
Last night Shakira she performed on the beach of Copacabana in Rio de Janeiroin Brazil, in front of – as reported by the Brazilian media – two million people. The concert held by the Colombian singer was called “Todo Mundo No Rio” and it was free.
The concert – included in the world tour in support of his latest album

) published in 2024 – started around eleven in the evening, more than an hour after the scheduled time with the flight of some drones over the beach that went to write in the sky:
“I love you Brazil”
in Portuguese.
Addressing the endless crowd,
Shakira
she thanked the fans and said: “I arrived here at 18, dreaming of singing for you. And now look. Life is magical.”
The mayor of Rio de Janeiro, Eduardo Cavaliere
later stated on X that two million people attended the concert.

During the show
Shakira
celebrated female resilience, telling the audience: “We women, every time we fall we get back up a little wiser.” As NME reports, in the days before the concert, organizers confirmed the death of a member of the local crew who were in charge of setting up the stage. In a statement, the 49-year-old Latin American musician remembered him with these words: “I am deeply saddened for the family, friends and colleagues of Gabriel de Jesus Firmino, a worker who lost his life. My heart goes out to his family and loved ones.”
During his performance Shakira she was joined on stage, to duet with her, by some well-known Brazilian musicians: Anitta, Caetano Veloso, Maria Bethania And Ivete Sangalo.
