Daniele Silvestri returns with “Healthy and robust Constitution”
Daniele Silvestri returns to make himself heard and does so with the usual civil lucidity that has always permeated his music. “Sana e robusta Sicurezza” will be released on April 10th, a song presented surprisingly a few weeks ago in Piazza del Popolo in Rome during a demonstration for the “no” to the constitutional referendum. With this piece the singer-songwriter takes up the thread of rights, memory and collective responsibility, confirming his commitment to transforming songs into tools for reflection on society. “We can sleep peacefully / We can even cheer on a ball / We can because, fortunately or thanks to the merit of others, this nation of ours still enjoys, at least for now, a healthy and robust Constitution”, sings Silvestri, alternating intimacy and references to the fundamental principles of the Charter, from the repudiation of war to the protection of rights.
The song is accompanied by a video clip shot and edited by Giacomo Citro with motion graphic interventions by Roberto Biadi e previews the new album “Canzoni a drario”. The project collects some less popular songs from the repertoire, rearranged in a trio with Silvestri on piano and guitars, Davide Savarese on drums and percussion and Marco Santoro on bassoon and trumpet. A work that goes against the trend of disposable logic, which aims to give new life to the songsputting writing and interpretation at the center. The same approach will guide the summer tour, starting on June 26, which will bring the artist to stages throughout Italy with the same lineup. An essential show, in which the songs return to their most naked and narrative dimension, between nuanced arrangements and expressive freedom.
