Raye will write the theme song for the next 007
Raye will sign and star in the main song of the next film in the 007 saga. At least, that’s what it seems. Emotion betrayed the British singer-songwriter, who on the red carpet of the iHeart Radio Awards in Los Angeles apparently did not know how to entrench herself in the classic “no comment” to a specific question about the rumors that she would be dealing with the song from the opening credits of the soundtrack of the new James Bond. And so, getting agitated, Raye said: «I don’t know what to say, I’m nervous. No, there is no entry. Now I’m turning red and there seems to be a voice. But no, there are no rumours.” Then he added: “Obviously if they ever want to contact me about it my email inbox is open.” But it was too late.
Now all that’s missing is the official announcement Amazon MGM Studioswhich has acquired creative control of the next film of what is one of the most beloved film sagas of all, with production expected no earlier than 2027 and release estimated for 2028. In recent weeks, in addition to Raye’s name, the names of Olivia Dean, Dua Lipa and Harry Styles for the coveted assignment. For Raye it would be a real one consecrationin the year of the album, yes highly acclaimed by world critics“This music may contain hope” (Rockol’s review here).
Raye would be in continuity with an iconic tradition, which sees great voices in international music linking their name to the opening credits of the James Bond saga. Over the years, the franchise has in fact built a real sonic identity, often also rewarded by critics: just think of Adele with “Skyfall“, winner of Oscar and Golden Globe, or a Billie Eilish with “No time to die“, also awarded by the Academy. Without forgetting memorable contributions such as “Live and let die” of the Wings by Paul McCartney, “Goldfinger” And “Diamonds are forever” Of Shirley Bassey“A view to a kill” of the Duran Duran.
For the role of the protagonist they are aiming for a young and less well-known British actor, after the abandonment of Daniel Craig: rumors cite Jacob Elordi or Aaron Taylor-Johnson as favourites.
