Rockol photographers: the images of Alessandro Pallone
For many years now Rockol has been publishing photo galleries, mainly of concerts. The photographers who provide us with the images and allow us to create these galleries have so far been just a name for our readers. Now they will also have a face. We asked them to send us a selection of ten shots that they are particularly fond of, which you can find below.
EDOARDO BENNATO – I am particularly fond of this photo, taken at the Arena in 2020 as we emerged from lockdown trying to return to normality, I have loved Bennato since I was a child and I know his “moves” live so I managed to immortalise him in one of his classic positions.
SIMONA MOLINARI – Among female singers, she is a voice that I like, certainly not very famous, I respect what she deserves… not only beautiful but very good.
ACHILLE LAURO – Of the new talents, he is perhaps the singer I like the most, every concert of his is truly a show!
NEGRITA – I’ve photographed Negrita a lot of times, catching Pau in the lens is anything but easy, seeing as he’s a grasshopper on stage… when you manage to “block” him you’re done.
BEN HARPER – He’s one of those singers who moves, having been under his stage and having been able to take photos of him, I consider it a privilege, I think the image conveys the emotion that I also felt.
CAPAREZZA – I love all types of music, including rap, and I think Caparezza is one of the best around, for the beauty of the lyrics and the involvement of the concert, each of his shows is a party… and with my photos I try to relive those moments.
NEK – He surprised me the first time I saw him, since I defined him as “Laura isn’t there” but in person he is very good, I also like this photo for the atmosphere of the smoke behind him, and his expression also contains his essence.
FRANCESCA MICHELIN – In order not to seem too old, here is a shot of Francesca Michielin, also a pleasant surprise of mine, she is really very good live, and as with Molinari, taking beautiful shots with them is all too easy.
BOB GELDOF – For a “boy” of the 70s, Bob Geldof is linked to Live Aid, and the fantastic concert… but he is much more, I have all his solo records and many of the Boomtown Rats, photographing this artist at 360 degrees was priceless!
J-AX – As I spoke before about Rap, I love this music, and the person who brought me closer to this genre in a significant way was Articolo 31 in the 90s, I often photographed J-Ax, truly a power of nature, also very difficult to photograph, but this pose is worth a thousand words.
ROBERTO VECCHIONI – I grew up in Milan, with Celentano, Jannacci, Gaber, and indeed, Roberto Vecchioni, a great person who I had the opportunity and pleasure to know and to be able to collaborate with his staff, he also gesticulates a lot when he sings and catching him in certain poses is not easy, I love this photo because I think I can hear him singing…
