Paul Simonon of the Clash brings a DJ set to Italy

Arrives in Italy “The Casbah Night”the musical format created by Paul Simonon And Dan Donovanwhich offers an evening entirely dedicated to vinyl, ranging between genres such as dub, soul and rock’n’roll. The event includes two appointments in our country towards the end of the month.

The project was born from the meeting between two prominent figures on the British music scene: Simonon, known above all as Clash bassistand Donovan, keyboardist linked to Big Audio Dynamite and other projects. Together they developed a DJ set that reflects their artistic journey and influences, built through eclectic selections drawn from their record collections.

During these evenings, the public is accompanied on a very varied sound journey, in which Jamaican rhythms, rock suggestions and forays into other styles coexist, with a strong focus on vinyl culture and analog listening.

“The Casbah Night” is not just a DJ set, but a format already presented in international contexts and in collaboration with important brands and events, consolidating itself as a musical experience capable of combining entertainment and sound research. Among the Italian dates, a stop is planned at Drusus of Ranica (Bergamo) on March 27an occasion in which the duo will bring to the stage this musical selection built between rarities and classics.
