Madame announces the new album: “I gave up everything at the best moment”

The new album by Madame, real name Francesca Calearo, will arrive on April 17th, the rapper from Vicenza catapulted to the top of the charts in 2018 with the single “Sciccherie” and has since become one of the brightest stars of the new Italian rap scene. Madame hadn’t released a new album for three years, as many as have passed since the previous “L’amore” in 2023. The album is titled “Disincanto” and will be the rapper’s third, after “Madame” in 2021 and “L’amore” itself.

“Why? Why did it take three years? Why did I give up everything right away? Why did I lock myself inside myself, so inside that I couldn’t get out? Why wasn’t I strong? I don’t have the answers. I just have many, many questions. And a record”, she says, alluding to the long stop.

The album’s tracklist has not yet been released, but a duet with Tiziano Ferro should be part of the album. The two have shared more than one photo together in the recording studio in recent months. The Latina singer-songwriter has long been a fan of the rapper, so much so that in 2022 he published a video on social media in which he sang her “Voce”: “It reminds me of Carmen Consoli. But to do something together you have to wait for the right piece to arrive”, he said last autumn, on the occasion of the release of his album “Sono un grande”, Ferro.
