Angelique Kidjo, on the album “Hope!” also Pharrell and Nile Rodgers
The native singer of Benin Angélique Kidjo he will release his new album on April 24th “Hope!!” five years after the previous one “Mother nature” released in 2021. Anticipating the release of the album is the first single, “Fall on Me”which has the feat. of the keyboard player of Maroon 5 and producer PJ Morton.
The album includes several collaborations, first of all that of Pharrell Williamswho produced three songs in his Paris studio, as well as him too Nile Rodgers, Ayra Starr, Quavo, Cavemen and others still.
Kidjo dedicated the album to her now deceased mother, who the 65-year-old African musician remembers for her optimism and strength. The tracklist of “Hope!!” closes with a version of the Swahili love song “Malaika”his mother’s favorite.
