Trio Damon Albarn-Grian Chatten-Kae Tempest for War Child
After “Opening Night” by Arctic Monkeys, new extract from “HELP(2)”, the compilation edited by War Child UK, sequel to “HELP” (1995). This is an unreleased trio composed of Damon Albarn-Grian Chatten (Fontaines DC) and Kae Tempest. The song is called “Flags” and was recorded with Johnny Marr, Dave Okumu, Adrian Utley (Portishead), Seye Adelekan of Gorillaz, Femi Koleoso of Ezra Collective and a choir of 43 children and with the presence of Jarvis Cocker, Carl Barat (The Libertines), Declan McKenna, Marika Hackman, Rosa Walton (Let’s Eat Grandma), English Teacher, Black Country, New Road and Nadia Kadek to the voices. The song was produced by Albarn together with James Ford, Marta Salogni and Toby L.

As happened thirty years ago, the recording sessions took place in Abbey Road Studioswith James Ford in the role of producer. All the material has been engraved in the space of just one weekin November 2025. “HELP(2)” is set for release on March 6with i pre-orders already available.
