Matteo Alieno, here is the new single “Spalle”

«”Shoulders” talks about what I think love is today: watching your back, distracting yourself from the very dangerous world we find ourselves in. It’s closing your eyes, falling asleep”: this is how Matteo Alieno presents the new single “Spalle”. After previewing it at the Rockol Awards, where he received the NUOVOIMAIE Award, the Roman singer-songwriter released the single on the platforms, which anticipates the album due out next spring.

“Spalle” is a ballad à la Badly Drawn Boy which in terms of sound pays homage to British pop-rock, which has always been a source of inspiration for the singer-songwriter. The song comes after “For our age”, “Chi vince che vince?”, “Piselli” and “Ansia”, which will not be missing from the lineup of the two concerts scheduled for April 29th at the Monk in Rome and May 7th at the Arci Bellezza in Milan.

At the Rockol Awards 2025 NUOVOIMAIE chose to award its prize to the Roman singer-songwriter «for the passion, courage and spontaneity with which he was able to break the rules of pop, remaining naturally consistent with himself and his artistic vision».
