Delta V, the return with the new album “In fatti hostile”

This year i Delta VCarlo Bertotti, Flavio Ferri and the singer Marti – they celebrate thirty years of life and celebrate them with the publication of a new album, “In hostile facts”the seventh of his career, which comes six years after the previous one “Heimat” (read the review here). In turn “Heimat” he had broken a thirteen-year silence that seemed like it could even be definitive. The release of “In hostile facts”album produced by Paolo Gozzetti And Roberto Vernettiwas anticipated by singles last spring, “Illinois Nazis” and, more recently, “Rules in Milan”.

About “The Nazis of Illinois”a term borrowed from the film with John Belushi And Dan Aykroyd ‘Blues Brothers’the band explains: “It’s all those fringes of exasperated people who vent their fears in drifts such as online hating, suprematism or conspiracy theorists. We would love to be able to recognize the Nazis of Illinois just by looking at the ‘Blues Brothers’ on a screen, but Landis’ film reminds us that behind that charade somewhere between farce and grotesque, in reality there are legitimate heirs already in circulation. And they are not to be underestimated. Music has a fundamental political and social role in all of our lives. It allows you to face everyday life in a conscious way with outbursts of passion and determination, just as unfortunately on the contrary it can make it faded, devoid of beauty or, even worse, a model of appearance, dazzling in form, but dramatically devoid of content.”

While “Rules in Milan”accompanied by a video in which the city’s change is translated into images, showing what and how some places that have accompanied Milanese music and culture have transformed, a metaphor for a future that poses more than one question. They say about the song: ““Regole a Milano” talks about hate and love for the place where you live. Struggling, committing, looking for solutions, finding some, never all the ones you would like. It is the diary of a city that reflects itself and not in the people. Wonderful Milan in its courtyards, in its exhibitions, in the days that lengthen into April. Milan is a pagan city, determined, proud, demanding and not very inclined to forgiveness.”

THE Delta V will present the songs from the new album in concert in‘In Hostile Facts Tour’ which will see lined up on stage Carlo Bertotti (synth, bass), Flavio Ferri (guitar, synth), Marti (voice), Nicola Manzan (guitar and violin) e Simone Filippi (drums), in which the sounds will be accompanied by images that will compose a powerful narrative.
