Bruce Springsteen publishes an unpublished to celebrate “Born to Run”

Next August 25th will fall the Fiftieth anniversary of “Born to Run”the album that changed Bruce Springsteen’s career (an in -depth analysis of Rockol will be released). To celebrate this anniversary, the New Jersey singer -songwriter has Published a song so far unpublishedentitled “Lonely Night in the Park“And dating back to the sessions of recordings of the third study of Springsteen.

As explained on Brucebase, on a page dedicated to the history of the boss’s classic album, the “Born to Run” sessions took place over 14 months, starting from May 1974 to 914 Sound Studios in Blauvelt, New York, and ended on 20 July 1975 at the record plant, even if the final mixing continued after the start of the tour. “Lonely night in the park” was initially engraved during the “She’s the One” session sessionbut was then discarded by the final tracklist of “Born to Run”. The song now officially published, which has long been documented, re -emerged at the end of 2005 during some broadcasts of the Sirius radio. The version that has circulated for years, however, was an unfinished sketch.

As often happens with the archive songs of Springsteen, It is difficult to establish which elements of the song published now really belong to the original sessions and which ones have possibly added later. In the credits made known of the song, Stevie Van Zandtwho does not play the guitar on “Born to Run”, here is credited as guitarist. Ron Aniellowho began to collaborate with Springsteen many years after the 1975 album, is accredited to the guitar and is co-producer of the song. On the contrary, Clarence Clemons and Danny Federici does not appearboth members of the E Street Band in 1975 (although Federici appeared only in a song by “Born to Run”).
