Surprisingly, the bring me The Horizon also give themselves to Lo-Fi
Whether to follow the example of other colleagues or for pure fun, surprise also the Bring Me The Horizon dedicated themselves to a Lo-Fi project. As made in recent days with a series of posts on social media, Oli Sykes and members have published today – 11 July – a collection of their songs reworked with a very different attitude from their usual.
The project, simply entitled “Lo-Files”, contains 23 reinterpretations in the Lo-Fi key of the most famous songs of the British band, which with the work of the last few years has opened its metalcore language to more pop and electronic suggestions. The traces are new versions of songs taken from the era of “Sempallo” of 2013 to the present day.
The Frontman Oli Sykes described “Lo-Files” as “service music”, designed for moments of silent creativity or introspection. As reported by Loudersound, he said: “The original idea for our” Go Torecord “project (ie” Music To Liste to … “of 2019) was actually something more relaxed: a disc to listen to while you study or unrelated. In the end it became much more chaotic than I had expected. So I think this is another proof of creating something quiet. I listen to a lot of music when I work or I am in anxiety, The same effect also to others “.
“Lo-Files” arrives, surprisingly, as a sequel to the album “Post Human: Nex Gen” (here our review), released on May 24, 2024, four years after the “Post Human: Survival Horror” album of 2020.
