Slipknot, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Judas Priest in Ferrara: the times
First the Slipknot, on June 17th. Then the Lynyrd Skynyrd, June 29th. Finally the Judas Priest, on July 2nd. So for three evenings, a few days later, the Ferrara Summer Festival is preparing to become the home of rock and metal. The wait for the three appointments is growing in the Emilian city, which will be hosted in the Ariostea square. The Slipknot will celebrate on June 17 together with the fans their date with the greater turnout ever in our country, 25 years after the first live performance in Italy. An event that will be open from Soft Play and Motionless in White, another very hot name of the contemporary metal scene. The gates will open at 5pm, at 6.15 pm the soft play will performat 19.30 the Motionless in White and at 9.30 pm Corey Taylor and companions.
The Lynyrd Skynyrd will bring their immortal songs on Sunday 29 June, including “Free Bird”, “Simple Man” and “Sweet Home Alabama”, on the stage of the Ferrara Summer Festival, for an evening that will combine generations of southern rock and hard rock enthusiasts. Simon McBride, current guitarist of the Deep Purple who shows up in Italy with his solo project, and Deborah Bonham Band, group of the legendary Led drummer Zeppelin John Bonham, will also go on stage. Opening Gates at 6.30 pm, Deborah Bonham Band will perform at 7.15 pm, Simon McBride at 20 and Lynyrd Skynyrd will go on stage at 9.15 pm.
Finally, Judas Priest will claim their essential role in the spread of Heavy Metal at the masses with an evening also dedicated to the masterpiece “Pinkiller” on 2 July (released in 1990). The former guitarist of the Motorhead Phil Campbell with his Bastard Sons and the godparents of the Epic Metal Warlord will go on stage before them. Opening gates set for 17.30. At 19 the Warlords will perform, at 20 Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons, at 9.15 pm Judas Priest.
