Sly and the Family Stone, the live album “The First Family” comes out

Sly and the Family Stone They announced the release, for next July 18, of a new live album that captures their first live recording: “The First Family: Live at the Winchester Cathedral 1967”.

The album will be available digitally, LP and CD. The physical editions will include a deluxe booklet with the manufacturer’s cover notes Alec Palaointerviews with Sly Stone and the original members of the band, unpublished photos and more. To deceive the wait for the publication, they have already published the live version of “Gotta Go Now (Up on the Floor) / Funky Broadway”.

. Those coils were then rediscovered in 2002 by
Edwin and Arno Konings

and carefully restored by the Palao co-producer.

A few months later, in November 1967,

“A Whole New Thing”
. In 2015, he went out
“Live at the Fillmore East October 4 & 5 1968”
who documented the group on stage for the first time.
